What to expect
WHAT IS CAR DETAILING?
Detailing goes beyond a standard valet. It's a meticulous, multi-stage process focused on restoring and protecting your vehicle's paintwork.
DECONTAMINATION
Iron fallout, tar, and bonded contaminants are chemically removed before any polishing begins, essential for a true correction.
MACHINE POLISH
A rotary or dual-action polisher is used with Sonax compounds to remove defects from the clear coat, restoring depth and gloss.
PROTECTION
Once corrected, paintwork is sealed with a wax, sealant or ceramic coating for lasting protection against the elements.

A valet focuses on cleaning, removing dirt from the interior and exterior. Detailing goes further, using machine polishing to correct paintwork defects and applying protective coatings for long-term results.
Paint correction is a time-intensive process. Depending on the condition of the paintwork and the level of correction required, it can take a full day or more. A single-stage correction addresses light swirl marks and haze, while a two-stage correction tackles deeper defects with a heavy cut followed by a refining polish. A professional ceramic coating can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years depending on the product used and how well the vehicle is maintained. We use the Sonax Profiline ceramic coating range, with options from CC ONE (up to 3 years) through to CC EVO (up to 5 years). All of our detailing services are mobile. For machine polishing and ceramic coating, the location will need to be agreed with the customer depending on what they can provide. The work may be carried out at your property or at our location under cover, weather permitting. We'll discuss the best setup when quoting your vehicle. We aim to eventually secure suitable premises to offer these services in the best possible environment and conditions.
All detailing services require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your slot. The remaining balance is due on the day upon completion. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice will receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable. Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full service fee.
