TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the booking and provision of services by LXC Detailing Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16864315), with a registered office at 7C Church Walk, Burnham, Slough, SL1 7AN. LXC Detailing Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller (Registration No. ZC116028).

By making a booking or using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. OUR SERVICES

LXC Detailing Ltd provides professional mobile car valeting and detailing services across South Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. All services are carried out using professional-grade products by trained operatives.

Service descriptions and pricing are detailed on our website. LXC Detailing Ltd is not VAT registered. All prices are inclusive of any applicable charges and are displayed on our website and booking system. Prices may vary based on vehicle size, condition, and the specific service selected.

2. BOOKINGS

All bookings are made through our bespoke online booking system at bookings.lxcdetailing.co.uk. A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us or via the booking system.

When making a booking you will be asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, service address, vehicle details, and preferred date and time. Vehicle registration number is optional. You may also provide any service notes or special requests.

We reserve the right to refuse or decline a booking at our discretion.

Valeting services (Refresh, Full Valet, Signature, Maintenance Plan): payment is due on the day of the appointment.

Detailing services (Full Detail Clean, Paint Correction, Ceramic Coating): a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your slot. The remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment.

Maintenance Plan: available to returning customers only, subject to a maximum of 8 weeks between visits. Priority booking is offered as a benefit of the plan. We reserve the right to withdraw availability of the plan at any time.

Bespoke and quoted services: high-value, classic, vintage, or specialist vehicles are quoted individually following contact with us. Deposit and payment terms for bespoke services will be agreed at the time of booking.

Multi-vehicle bookings: we offer a 10% discount for customers booking more than one vehicle at the same appointment. A deposit is required to secure your slot and is non-refundable in line with our cancellation policy in Section 3.

Territory surcharge: bookings in certain areas, including parts of Surrey and surrounding territories, are subject to a variable surcharge due to increased travel time. Any applicable surcharge will be clearly displayed during the booking process before you confirm your appointment. Bookings in these areas are available for morning slots only.

Long job policy: any service estimated to require more than six hours will be restricted to morning slots only. The estimated duration will be indicated during the booking process.

Weather and access: our services are carried out at your location, typically outdoors. We reserve the right to postpone or reschedule in the event of severe weather that makes safe working impossible. Access to a covered area is welcomed but not required.

You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle and location are accessible at the agreed time. Please ensure there is sufficient space for our vehicle and equipment to operate safely.

3. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice: full deposit refund where applicable.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice: deposits are non-refundable.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows: the full service fee may be charged.

We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to severe weather, equipment failure, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative appointment date.

4. PAYMENT

We accept the following payment methods:

Online card payments: processed securely through Stripe via our booking system. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We do not store or have access to your full card details at any time.

Bank transfer: details provided upon request or via the booking system where available.

Cash: accepted on the day of the appointment where agreed in advance.

All payments are subject to our cancellation policy as set out in Section 3. Stripe’s own terms of service apply to card payments processed through their platform.

Booking confirmations and reminders are sent by email and/or SMS. SMS notifications are delivered via Twilio. Standard network charges may apply to SMS messages received on your device.

5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You must ensure the vehicle is made available at the agreed time and location. Please remove any valuables from the vehicle prior to the appointment. We accept no liability for loss of, or damage to, personal items left in the vehicle.

You must inform us of any pre-existing damage, delicate surfaces, aftermarket modifications, or special requirements before the service begins.

You warrant that you are the registered owner of the vehicle, or that you have obtained the owner’s permission to have the service carried out.

For classic, vintage, high-value, or specialist vehicles, we may carry out a brief pre-service condition assessment before work begins, to protect both parties and ensure we can carry out the service safely.

6. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING

We may photograph your vehicle during or after a service for use in marketing materials, including our website and social media channels. Registration plates will always be obscured before any image is published. Images will only be used in a professional context to showcase the quality of our work.

If you would prefer we do not photograph your vehicle, please inform us before your appointment begins. This will have no effect on the quality of service provided. To request removal of any published image, contact us at [email protected].

7. OUR LIABILITY

We take every care in carrying out our services. LXC Detailing Ltd holds a Coversure Valeters and Detailers Liability Insurance policy, covering Public Liability, Products Liability, Service Indemnity and damage to vehicles whilst in our care. In the unlikely event of damage caused directly by our operatives during a service, please notify us immediately and no later than 48 hours after the service is completed. Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.

We will not be liable for any pre-existing damage that was not declared before the service, or for damage to vehicles with paintwork or surfaces that were in poor condition prior to the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses.

8. REWARDS: LOYALTY PROGRAMME AND REFERRAL SCHEME

Loyalty Programme: our booking system operates an automatic loyalty programme. On your fourth completed booking, you will receive an exclusive discount code, which can be redeemed against your next booking. Loyalty codes are personal to you and cannot be transferred or shared.

Referral Scheme: on completion of your first booking, you will receive a personal referral code by email. You may share this code with as many people as you wish. Each referred person may only redeem a referral code once. When a referred customer completes their first booking using your code, you will automatically receive a new exclusive discount code by email, redeemable against your next booking. All codes are personal to the recipient and cannot be transferred.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of LXC Detailing Ltd and may not be reproduced or distributed without our prior written permission.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. COMPLAINTS

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your service, please contact us within 24 hours of the appointment at [email protected] or call 07380 348 452. We will do our best to resolve any issue promptly and fairly.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
